What an acoustic office pod costs

A buyer's guide

Search for acoustic office pods and you will find a great deal about wellbeing, focus and hybrid working, and almost nothing about what one costs. Manufacturers list features. Resellers ask you to enquire. The number that decides whether the conversation goes any further stays hidden.

So this guide starts with the prices.

We are not a pod manufacturer. We specify, supply and install pods alongside the rest of a workspace, which means we have no reason to steer you toward one make over another — and no reason to keep the pricing to ourselves.

Prices exclude VAT and are correct as of 2026. Delivery and installation is subject to a site survey, which we include.

Sizing

Which size you need

A single focus pod takes about one square metre — 97cm wide, 99cm deep. One person, seated or standing. A two to four person meeting pod is 204cm by 138cm, with a height-adjustable table, four sockets and two LAN ports.

The common mistake is one large pod where two small ones would serve better. A meeting pod gets block-booked; two focus pods get used a dozen times a day.

Before you order

Five things to check

Ventilation. Air fully exchanged roughly every minute — 262m³/h single, 524m³/h meeting. Without it a pod is unusable within ten minutes.

Floor loading. 212kg for a single pod, up to 556kg for a meeting pod. Check upper floors before ordering, not on delivery day.

Access route. Lift size, door widths and stair turns decide whether installation takes an hour or a day.

Power. One 230V outlet for a single pod, four for a meeting pod. The cable is three metres.

Acoustics. Ask for the tested figure. “Soundproof” on its own means very little.

Berlin pods in three weeks

A single Berlin pod installs in under an hour, a meeting pod in about three with a team of four. Lead times vary by manufacturer — Framery and Senator are usually longer, and we will confirm the current position before you commit.

No build costs, no planning, no making good afterwards. It works that afternoon, and it moves with you.

Buy or lease. Leasing keeps the cost in operating expenditure rather than capital. Buying suits a wider fit-out with its own capital budget.

Berlin is the range priced above — value, short lead times, quick installation.

Framery make the most widely recognised pods, engineered for video calls.

Senator are British manufacturers with their own sustainability programme.

A pod is still a manufactured product, so the greenest option is usually the one you already own.
