A solid commitment to sustainable workspace design
At JPA Workspaces, we live and breathe our values, and so sustainability is embedded in everything we do. From supplying and maintaining sustainably sourced furniture items, to recycling old fixtures when they reach the end of their useful life and rehoming unwanted items locally, all of our operations, services and products are geared towards saving valuable resources and carbon. Sustainability is part of our complete workspace solutions, without compromising the quality of the design and final solution to meet client objectives. We also offer advice to clients on green building schemes to reduce carbon emissions in their buildings.
Our commitment to reducing carbon emissions, eliminating furniture landfill and addressing climate change is backed by solid actions, as The King’s Award recognises. The winners within this category must demonstrate evidence of sustainable products, services, or interventions for at least two years and show the benefits and positive outcomes of their actions and practices. As partners of the UN-backed Race to Zero campaign that aims to halve carbon emissions by 2030, we are working towards solid sustainability goals in all our business activities.
Fiona Edwards, Head of Sustainability at JPA Workspaces, said:
“I’m thrilled and delighted for our wonderful team to be recognised in this way and couldn’t be more proud. It’s a culmination of many years of development and a business purpose underpinned by the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Net Zero 2050.”
Royal recognition on a national level
It is a huge accolade for JPA Workspaces to be recognised for the commitment to sustainability that drives our vision and the way we work with clients. This national award reflects our unique approach to delivering bespoke and sustainable workspace solutions, and it demonstrates how we differ from other companies in the field. The King’s Award is the most prestigious business award in the UK, and we are proud to use the esteemed King’s Awards emblem for the next five years.
To receive the award, we will be formally presented with a Grant of Appointment scroll and a commemorative crystal bowl by His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant, The King’s personal representative, at our offices later this year. We will also be invited to attend a Royal Reception at Buckingham Palace hosted by His Majesty King Charles III in the summer of 2023.
Award-winning eco-friendly workspace solutions
The King’s Award for Sustainable Development is just the latest in a long line of awards that we have been proud to receive for our sustainable business practices. Other national accolades include SME Of The Year at the Global Good Awards 2022, winners of the Regional Planet Saver Award at the British Chamber of Commerce 2022 and Sustainable Business of the Year at the National SME Awards 2022.
